Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of FindMyCoach.PH. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What FindMyCoach.PH is — and is not

We are a directory. We help students across the Philippines find coaches, tutors, and trainers, and we pass along inquiries. We are not a party to any lesson, agreement, or payment between a student and a coach.

Coaches are independent — not our employees, agents, or partners. We do not set their rates, supervise their teaching, or guarantee results. The arrangement, schedule, price, and payment for any lesson are strictly between the student and the coach.

Verification is a signal, not a guarantee

Badges reflect specific checks we performed and nothing more: phone-verified means a one-time code reached that number; email-verified means a one-time code reached the email address on the account; Verified means a member of our team checked your government ID and it passed our identity check. None of these is a background check, an endorsement of competence, nor a guarantee of safety or quality.

Use ordinary judgement: read reviews, ask for credentials, and meet somewhere sensible. For coaching involving a minor, a parent or guardian should be present or nearby.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old.
Give accurate information and keep it current.
Keep your password secure. Activity under your account is your responsibility — we strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone.

For students

Browsing and contacting coaches is free and unlimited. We do not charge students, and we take no commission on lessons.

When you send an inquiry, you and that coach can see each other’s contact details so you can arrange things directly. Please:

Use contact details only to arrange coaching — not for marketing, spam, or resale.
Write reviews only for coaches you have actually contacted or worked with, honestly and without abuse.

For coaches: plans and payment

Coach — ₱200 per month. Required for your profile to appear in search at all. Without an active plan your profile is hidden.
Featured — ₱350 per month. Everything in Coach, plus a featured slot in one category you teach. Each category has a hard limit of 10 featured slots, allocated first-come.
Student inquiries are unlimited on both plans. There is no per-lead fee and no commission.

Plans run for 30 days from activation. Payments are processed by PayMongo; we never see your card details. You can stop at any time by not renewing — your profile simply becomes hidden when the period ends.

Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable once a period has started, except: if we capture a Featured payment but cannot give you the slot (for example the last slot in that category was taken first, or you no longer teach that category), we void the payment and refund it. If you believe you were charged in error, message us on Facebook at facebook.com/findmycoachph. Nothing here limits rights you have under Philippine consumer law.

You are responsible for your own taxes, permits, and any professional licensing your coaching requires.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post — your profile, photos, messages, and reviews. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the directory.

Only post what is yours to post. Profile photos appear right away and are reviewed by our team; we may remove any content that breaks these terms.

Things you must not do

Scrape, bulk-download, or republish the directory or coaches’ contact details.
Use contact details for spam, marketing, or recruitment.
Post false, misleading, offensive, or infringing content, or fake reviews.
Create fake accounts, manipulate ratings, or evade a suspension.
Harass, discriminate against, or endanger anyone.
Interfere with the site’s security or operation.

Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Where a suspension is our decision and not the result of your conduct, we will refund the unused part of a current plan. You may close your account at any time.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted access. Features may change as the product develops. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those Philippine law requires.

Liability

To the fullest extent Philippine law permits, we are not liable for anything arising out of a coaching engagement itself — including the conduct, safety, competence, or no-shows of any student or coach. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Disputes between users

Disagreements about a lesson are between the student and the coach. You can report a problem in the app and we will look at it, but we are not obliged to arbitrate and we do not hold or refund payments made directly between users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of Metro Manila have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will update the date above and notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
